Pricing, Terms and Conditions

Thank you for your interest in my home baked Sugar Cookies! To help make the process as seamless as possible and to help keep everyone on the same page, we have some company policies to go over.

Pricing – Custom Sugar Cookies – My custom cookies start at $55/dozen. With a minimum order of 1.5 dozen at a cost of $82.50. Prices increase from the base price based on intricacy and number of designs, number of colours, amount of airbrushing, script/lettering, metallic colours, etc.

FREE QUOTE – I’d love to get you a FREE quote! Inspiration pictures or ideas are very helpful and I will work with you to develop a plan for beautiful cookies for your event.   You can email these images to info@westkootenaycookies.com

Placing an order – After receiving your quote, it is your responsibility to confirm or pass within 48 hours. Upon confirmation, I will send you an invoice via Square with details of your order.  You may pay via credit card with Square or e-transfer. If your invoice is not paid within 48 hours your order will be cancelled.

Full payment is due at the time of order if your order is less than 6 weeks before delivery. If you delivery date is 6+weeks out a 50% deposit is due with the remaining 50% due 2 week before delivery. This holds your order date on my calendar and I start creating your personalized cookie cutters. If you encounter difficulty making the payment, please contact me.

Please note last minute orders may be subject to a rush fee.

Discounts
I do not offer bulk, wholesale or quantity discounts.

Packaging
Each of my cookies comes individually wrapped and heat sealed to ensure maximum freshness. All custom orders are packed in bakery boxes for easier transport.

Colours, Designs and Inspiration
I love seeing pictures of cookies you love. Your cookies may not be a perfect replica, but I will do my absolute best to create a similar yet unique design for you! I will make every effort to match colours as best as possible when requested; however, I make all cookies and icing by hand, so colours may vary and I cannot guarantee that colours will match.
As each cookie is made by hand, there will be slight differences between cookies of the same design.

Availability
For custom decorated sugar cookies, I generally book a minimum of 3 weeks in advance. When inquiring about available dates, please keep in mind that my calendar fills up very quickly and availability is subject to change. Inquiring about a date does not reserve your spot on my calendar. Dates are only reserved when your retainer fee has been paid.

Changing an order
Changes to cookie designs, quantities, or event dates can be requested. I will make every effort to accommodate your request. All changes must be requested no less than 2 weeks before your event and may be subject to additional fees. All designs, quantities and event dates are final, 2 weeks prior to your event. Changes to your event date are subject to my availability. Please note that my calendar fills up quickly. I will make every effort to accommodate and work with you to find an alternate date; however, I may not be able to accommodate your date change.

Cancelling an order
I realize that things happen. Refunds will be given for orders that are cancelled more than 2 months prior to the event date. If you need to cancel an order, less than 2 months from your event date, your retainer payment will be transferable to an alternate date, subject to my availability. Your alternate date must be booked within 6 months of your cancelled order.

Orders cancelled less than 2 weeks from your event, are not transferable to an alternate date and no refunds will given.

If I must cancel an order due to illness or emergency, a full refund will be issued.

Pick Up
All orders are pick up only in Warfield, BC. I do “porch pick up” where your order will be placed in an insulated cooler on my porch on a decided time and date of your choosing upon order. This allows you wiggle room if you are early or late for pick up.

Order Release and Cookie Care
You will be provided with instructions, both written and verbal, on how to properly store your cookies. Cookies should be stored in a cool, dry location at room temperature and are best if consumed within 2 weeks of pick up. For longer term storage, place your cookies in an air-tight container and freeze them for up to 3 months. Please DO NOT put your sugar cookies in the refrigerator; too much moisture may cause the cookies to sweat and/or colours to run.

I take great pride in my work and operate my business with honesty and integrity. If you are not satisfied with your order, please contact me with your concerns. We can discuss and determine next steps.

In Sickness and in Health
 You’re consuming food and with the consumption of anything (including that bottle of wine last night) there are inherent risks. Choking hazards, food illnesses, and allergic reactions are possibilities – albeit, hopefully far reaching.

Product Photography
We photograph and post photos of client ordered cookies on social media and our website after your event date. If you do not want your cookies in the spotlight, please let me know at the time you place your order.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
A copy of the Terms and Conditions will be attached to your invoice. Payment of your retainer/invoice indicates that you accept these terms and conditions as written.
